How To Play Craps
Craps is the most popular form of dice gambling game in the world. With all the different types of bets it can become quite complicated, but here are some of the more basic rules to get you started.
The game is played by rolling two dice on a table, and betting on the outcome of the dice throw. You can either bet with the dice thrower (often called the ?shooter?) or against him. The basic form of betting is to bet on the ?Pass line? before the dice are thrown. If you bet this way you are betting with the thrower. The thrower then rolls the dice. If he rolls a seven or and eleven, you win your bet and the shooter can throw again. If he rolls a two, three or twelve, you lose the bet, but the same player can still roll the dice again. If any other number is thrown, this is called a ?point?. The shooter then rolls again, and if he throw the same number as his point, you win your bet, but now if he rolls a seven, you lose the bet and someone else gets a turn to throw.
The other way to bet is against the thrower. This called a "Don`t Pass" bet. You place your bet on the Don`t Pass line before the shooter rolls the dice. Now you win or lose in exactly the opposite way as explained above. The shooter still needs to make his point, but this time if he makes his point you lose, and if he rolls a seven you win. There is one additional betting rule that applies to a Don`t Pass bet, and that is that if the thrower rolls a 12, you do not win or lose your bet.
